“Two houses, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene…” and to play those scenes in our upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet, we’re thrilled to announce our fantastic cast. Anastasia Higham last seen as Miranda in The Tempest (Wooden O) and Riley Neldam who appeared as Florizel in The Winter’s Tale (Wooden O) will play the star-crossed lovers.
Returning to our stage are Mike Dooly (Twelfth Night) as Lord Capulet, Chris Ensweiler (Waiting for Godot) as Friar Laurence, Trevor Young Marston (Mrs. Warren’s Profession) as Mercutio, Carolyn Marie Monroe (The Two Gentlemen of Verona-Wooden O), as Lady Capulet, and George Mount (Titus Andronicus) as Prince/Chorus.
Making their Seattle Shakespeare Company stage debuts are Treavor Boykin as Tybalt, Andrew Lee Creech as Benvolio, and Kathryn Van Meter as the Nurse.
For this production director Vanessa Miller has created a character called Dream/Death that will be played by Justin Huertas (Much Ado About Nothing).
Joining the cast will be Morgan Grody, Claire Marx, Jason Salazar, Kerry Skalsky, and Jordan Taylor.
Romeo and Juliet will run May 4 through May 22, 2016.
